Applications are accepted once annually (June timeframe) for program admission the next fall. The next application period will be Summer 2024 (for program entry Fall 2024).
Requirements to Apply:
Applicants must be 18 years or older by September 1, 2024.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time at The University of Texas at Austin or Huston-Tillotson University.
UT graduate/post graduate students are eligible, as long as they will be enrolled full-time or have some other formal association with UT during the Fall 2024 Semester.
Applicants must have completed at least one-year of undergraduate coursework by September 1, 2024. Students who are rising Sophomores now are eligible to apply.

Students are not required to provide a resume or transcript and they do not have to complete an interview. Only a few application questions determine admission.
Applicants’ responses are reviewed and rated by 80-100 reviewers (on average) through a blind and random process to minimize bias.
Students are notified of acceptance by email before the beginning of the Fall semester.

The 2023-2024 HLA application results were sent via email on 08/17/2023.
